Ridley Scott has ventured into VR once again with Alien: Covenant In Utero, a new VR experience for Oculus.
Released to celebrate Alien Day on 26 April, a nod to planet LV-426 from the films, In Utero comes from Twentieth Century Fox, FoxNext VR Studio, RSA VR, MPC VR, a Technicolor company, Mach1 and technology partners AMD RADEON and DELL.
In Utero is a 360-degree VR journey produced by Ridley Scott and directd by David Karlak, featuring a terrifying close and personal encounter as an alien Neomorph at the time of its birth – that’s right you’ll be experiencing life as a Neomorph.
“With the In Utero experience, audience participation is taken to a whole new level. You get to be a Neomorph, exploring what’s happening around you and within you,” said Ridley Scott.
You can check out the 360 video on the Oculus platform starting April 26. It will be available in the Oculus Video app on the Oculus Rift or the Samsung Gear VR, powered by Oculus. The experience is also now available on Facebook.
