The animation tool appears as a new button on the Shaderlight toolbar, giving access to a simple interface that enables renders of the SketchUp scene as a sequence of photoreal images for animation. The new Pro version will also render animations created using SUanimate and Keyframe Animation plugins.
Shaderlight Pro v2 also hosts the unique new Replace Me function: users can now substitute complex models – people and trees, for example – with simple billboard models. This way, Shaderlight is able to render the fill 3D model without slowing the software down.
“We’re in close communication with many Shaderlight fans around the world and their feedback has helped to shape these developments,” Kate Marshall, marketing director at ArtVPS said. “We‘ve retained the simple rendering process that helped to make the original product so successful whist adding fantastic new features that will continue to transform how people use Google SketchUp.”
