Okay, not always, but this time it does. I was studying a model from different angles within Poser when the beauty of her profile inspired me to make a photograph with the tools on hand. It does seem to me that a simple image is a good choice with which to begin an exhibition. Thank you for visiting and viewing! -Terry I was thinking it might be fun to attempt a portrait which felt like an old fine-grain print from a Kodachrome slide. Somehow I deluded myself into imagining the process would only take up a coffee break's time. Maybe someone here knows where the rest of my evening went off to? I worked as a studio photographer a few more years back than I care to clarify. What enchants me in Poser, for the time being, is seeing how close I can get to a portrait I may have taken with a camera. Although it has been a long while since I worked with Kodachrome I was saddened when they ceased producing it this year. -Terry This striking lovely belongs to a very dear friend. It was her deepest wish to belong so; she told me this one night while we were working in the studio. This portrait is the result of our first session together. If you have long moved on from the elder generation models or are relatively new to Poser/Daz I encourage you to spend some time with the pre-4 figures. The elder models are far from obsolete. -Terry (Notes: Poser w/ render enhancement in Photoshop) I have a thing (fetish is not quite the right word) for portraits of literary characters, mythological beings and persona from ancient history. This week I have been feeling the urge to begin working on a series of these. ~ With literature we have the author's words to guide us a fair distance and the best writers allow or encourage us to engage our imaginations in generating a vision of their characters. With myth and ancient history our perceptions are strongly influenced by centuries of artistic depictions and within the past century by the dynamic power of motion pictures. Depending upon an actor's performance, a film role can often define or re-define popular perception of most any historical figure. ~ Recently I re-watched Oliver Stone's 'Alexander', which is a vibrant adventure for the senses. With the acting, one performance stood out for me among the rest, that of Alexander's mother played by Angelina Jolie. The story followed closely with what is possible to be known of the family dynamic of Alexander and his parents. What Angelina brings across with force is that there would be nothing Green eyed lady, windswept lady moves the night, the waves, the sand ~ Green eyed lady, ocean lady child of nature, friend of man ~ Green eyed lady, passion's lady dressed in love, she lives for life to be -Sugarloaf ~ ~ (Notes: Poser w/ render enhancement in Photoshop) A variation of the previous portrait. I could have produced a dozen .. she's so lovely. -Terry ~ (Notes: Poser w/ render enhancement in Photoshop)          And she said,           Taking a break from some weekend labors on a Sunday afternoon, I went exploring through the mix of items I picked up when I first purchased Poser a few years back. ~ This portrait is quite different from the first rendition that came through. The muses must have wanted the first one for themselves because Photoshop crashed for no reason, which is exceptionally rare in my experience, and I'd not saved the PSD since early in the creative process.
