It’ll come as little surprise to many, but recent findings suggest that good quality 3D images of items on websites can encourage sales. Autodesk’s survey revealed that more than two-thirds of the consumers interviewed say 3D images increased the possibility of them committing to a purchase. In addition to that, 78% said 3D images make them more “comfortable” the product is of high quality.
Robert Kross, senior VP of the Manufacturing Industry Group at Autodesk agrees, “3D is now mandatory table stakes for doing business – it’s expected by consumers embracing 3D images in movies, games and, soon, TVs and computers.”
