Autodesk-hosted panel discussion to address rise in social and casual gaming and games based learning at leading European gaming conference
Autodesk, a world leader in 2D and 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, is pleased to announce it will be hosting it annual Autodesk Gaming Panel Discussion session at the Develop Conference, Brighton, UK on Thursday 15th July 2010.
Chaired by Autodesk’s senior industry manager for games, Mary-Beth Haggerty will discuss the opportunities created through the rise in social and casual gaming ad games based learning as well as the increased competitive environment.
The discussion agenda will include an overview of the growing market for games-based learning, differences in development and what ‘traditional’ games developers should know, the ways that educational games can learn from commercial games and what today’s developers can do to take advantage of the opportunities arising and minimise the threats they may present.
