This image took about 140 hours. It was modeled, lit and textured by myself. I used Maya to model. For texturing some Mud-box, and Photoshop. Nuke was the composition software used.

Developed by Eduardo Souto Moura (Pritzker 2011) and João Álvaro Rocha, this architectural competition project is located in Ourense and includes a TGV Station, Hotel, Office Building and a Master Plan surrounding all this buildings.

I love old volkswagen busses and so I created this illustration of an old volkswagen bus. I like the used look that tells a story of the life as an expedition vehicle.

1st Place for SketchupUrSpace Competition. Done in SketchUp and rendered in V-Ray.

The concept used was to use the given modules and create a "hovering" settlement on a flooded world.

A clever way to improve dung beetle's work!

In most cases, large meant terrifying, and beast like this could definitely be considered scary. However, my intention with this piece was to show the beauty and gentleness of this creature. Though large and imposing he possess many attributes found on natural living herbivores. I wouldn't be surprised if behind that long bristly mouth were all flat grinding teeth.
He was great fun to do. He came from a period of all humanoid figures, I simply couldn't do another, so I decided to a quadruped was due.
I composed him taking up a majority of the frame, his massive shoulder further reassuring you of his strength. And the soft nature of the render has you not fear him, but feel for him. Im happy with the success of this piece.

Walter is a cute underworld creature with a miraculous gift. He has the ability to give life to any kind of creature he can imagine.
He also like to wear a mask to look tough and to hide his cuteness.
Based on some of my character drawings, modeled, textured and rendered with Modo.
AO and DOF and minor colour adjustments added in Photoshop.

An after hours project prepared for one of the digital 3d competitions.

This is my last job.The image describes a traditional tavern located in a small Italian village, where you can drink good wine and where you can eat typical Italian food like bucatini amatriciana, spaghetti carbonara and the taglatelle gricia! Made with 3dsmax 2009, render with Vray 1.5, textures and post with Photoshop.

My idea was to create a natural and realistic portrait with a photographic approach, in a low key lighning conditions. Here is a description of the process: Base modelling in maya, texturing in photoshop/Bodypaint (I used photos from “Essence the face” as the base to create the texture of the face). Zbrush for refine modelling and detailing skin. Hair with “shave and haircut” and “shaders_p, hair_TK” for the shader of the hair. Fur is “maya fur”. Rendered with mental ray, and photoshop for final compositing.

My interior was based on Hell´s Kitchen Loft by "Smith - Miller & Hawkinson Architects". All models were made by me, except the desk lamp (by tolas) and books (source unknown).
